Kyle Odefey grew up in the Greater Twin Cities area in Minnesota, forming a passion for media arts at a young age. His outgoing and charismatic attitude towards filmmaking led him to pursue Film Production as a career, taking him across the United States and Europe as early as 2015.

In his time devoted to the arts, Odefey has become an award-winning filmmaker and freelance videographer driven to tell stories of all kinds. His short films Hotline (2019) and Dormscape (2019) won awards at the Thirteenth Annual South Dakota Film Festival, while other shorts such as Door Jam (2017), '79 (2018), and ANTE MERIDIEM (2019) have been showcased at festivals in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and New York, respectively.

In 2018, Kyle created his own freelance videography company to develop and produce client-based products. As of 2021, he has worked with ABC Broadcast Affiliate WDAY, In-House Advertising & Consulting, the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks Baseball Team, Bolton & Menk Studios, Livewire Entertainment Services LLC, and Motivational Speaker Joe Beckman, among others. He has also worked alongside various organizations such as the Fargo-Moorhead Community Theatre and MSUM’s School of Performing Arts in directorial roles.

Odefey is an alumnus of the National High School Institute Film and Video Program (2016) and will be graduating from Minnesota State University Moorhead in May 2021 (Bachelor of Arts in Film Production and a minor in Film Studies).
