Kyle Odefey grew up in the Greater Minneapolis-St. Paul area in Minnesota, forming a passion for media arts at a young age. His outgoing and charismatic attitude towards filmmaking led him to pursue Film Production as a career, taking him across the United States and Europe as early as 2015.
In his time devoted to the arts, Odefey has become an award-winning filmmaker and freelance videographer driven to tell stories of all kinds. His short films Hotline (2019) and Dormscape (2019) won awards at the Thirteenth Annual South Dakota Film Festival, while Door Jam (2017), ’79 (2018), ANTE MERIDIEM (2019), and Six Hours, Indefinitely (2021) have been showcased at festivals in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and New York, respectively. His work has also led to a diverse portfolio in live production, advertising, and digital content creation.
Odefey is a recent graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead (Bachelor of Arts in Film Production with a minor in Film Studies) and an alumnus of the National High School Institute Film and Video Program (2016).
